Damn, I am using a 27" CRT and it uses only 90 watts. That flatscreen uses a min. of 177 watts. That's just outrageous. Another reason for me to stick to the CRT for now.

Tinhh, I've setup several LCD and plasma TV's with Avia, and found default sharpness way too high. You can tell because you see ringing around fine detail, this is bad as it degrades picture quality & detail. If you display some small text, try moving the sharpness slider from minimum to maximum, at lowest it may be blurry but at maximum it'll have a white halo around each letter, you don't want this. You want the font to clear defined edges, but not blurry or with halos. Google search sharpness

get a tv tunner so u plug the cable from ur tv in the tv tunner and it will convert the analog to digital and then u can change to digital
Reducing backlight also helps with deeper blacks. Should also disable dynamic contrast and all other processing, and knock down sharpness to minimum or a little above minimum
