  • couple of things going on, 1/ is the pwm is to pulse current = less consumed power per Litre gas produced, = more Efficent.

    2/ less current flow = less heat = optimum running temp.

    though when you test these units you should give each new test " a few miniutes" to run before checking your views, as it takes plates a few moments to come in to line with any new applied voltage/ Frequency wave lenth change.

  • wow so much debate on PMW. I say hook it up and get car working. test on a long trip. then decide if there is any issues such as heat or runaway then maybe PMW will help. Guess someone designed it for a reason but to increase production is laughable. and I am a simpleton saying this. so that said the PMW is likely for control and smooth production. Maybe I am not as simple as I credit myself... just IMO... great vid.

  • Excellent work , keep it up I am looking forward to your next video maybe coupled with some milage results. Great idea using the water filter as a housing now all you need is a sight glass to measure the levels.

    But here comes the cool part. Eventually, if you had a way to monitor this in your vehicle, you can pro actively keep adjusting the PWM to the 12 amps whereas you'll eventually no longer increase your electrolyte temperature, no any additional amperage.

    Too much work for the average tinkerer so, hence they give up with the PWM - much like you did.

  • A PWM will help to prevent the runaway condition whereas the temperature increases causing the amperage to increase. Other than that, you are correct - no real benefit. An example of this would to be selecting a amperage you wish to run (say 12 amps). You then set it - but over time the increase of temperature causes the amperage to increase (say to 16 amps).     you want perpetual watch my video. You don't understand say so. because this doesn't know perpetual. You want a test hook it up to a city.

  • Correction: Not "the amount of KOH" but the amount of "H" from the H generator.

  • The conduction angle is also called the Pusle Width or Duty Cycle.  NOTE: There are transducers such as electronic air-flow indicators that would be perfect I think for this application.

  • You are not changing the HZ of the PWM. What you are changing is the conduction angle of the PWM. The conduction angle will vary from aprox 10%(min) to 90(max). The reason for using a PWM in this application is primarily for feedback control. You should build a feedback indicator circuit which measures the amount of KOH you are producing and feed that signal back to the PWM. Similar to a self regulator circuit.

  • I think the best way to use the pwm is to couple it with a temperature sensor. Then moderate frequency to control the temperature of your gizmo. Seem to recall that optimum temperature is about 150 ish ... so use the pwm to try to control temperature. Am not convined (yet) about resonance.
