That was the whole idea behind Hyperthrust. Norman's computers were tied into the traffic network, and they would temporarily block traffic along his route, to give him a clear path through. I think it was also supposed to be GPS-guided.

You never think about these things when your young - imagine if there was traffic on that bridge, in fact whenever jesse goes into hyperthrust, the traffic automatically dissapears!! lol
