A number of Muslims, their websites, their books and their videos claim that the Quran mentions the speed of light, which proves the Quran to be true.

The attempt to do this is not only ridiculously flawed and nothing more than the result of
(i) Wishful thinking
(ii) Delusion
(iii) A distortion of the verse

But also completely incorrect, as the video proves.

  • please give source who claim this about this verse? there many muslims no different then non muslim,

  • @saadabdulaziz

type 'quran speed of light' into google.

You will find entire websites devoted to it.

  • Yes I dont understand why the moon is used as a comparison against the speed of light ('affairs?'). Why not use the orbit of the earth or pluto. I would suggest more recent muslim 'scholars' chose the moon as their datum cos it more closely fits the desired result. 16bn and 18bn is only a difference of 2bn miles, which isnt a HUGE error. I reckon they worked out the distance covered by speed of light in one day, then looked for a celestial body that fitted the conclusion they wanted 2 prove.

  • @adey5

I agree as that is the usual method for finding a 'miracle' claim.

'is only a difference of 2bn miles, which isnt a HUGE error.'

It's 93 Million miles to the sun...It actually is a big error, too big to ignore.

  • It's been brought to my attention that someone may eventually claim I didn't factor in Relativity.

If anyone needs me to state how the Cos is zero (Has no change to the end calculation) then let me know.

  • i think it is a shame that one has to make these videoes.

the shame being that muslims are so stupid that they believe in miracles in the quran.

the shame being that there are such muslim asshole scholars who would willfully lie in the most filthy way to shackle more people to the religion of islam,

please make as many of these videoes as possible.

the future of the human kind depends on it,

  • You need to differentiate about what has been stated in quran in its original word. Its translation and its scientific implication is what people think at that time.

  • @newmuslims100 Actually it is a big deal when you state that the book is a direct quote from God and if true the Universe was created with enormous errors. An omnipotent God should not leave any room for error especially in our universe which you believe was created with perfection. Einstein never claimed to be a man of God or God, his theories will always be subject to change. However, the Quran according to you is a work of God and this one small example shows otherwise.

  • you are just assuming that affair means light. Anyways, i'm an arab and seeing that the proper translation of affair from arabic is work. and for the calculation, where did the part related to heaven and earth go to?

  • @etherealaz1 the problem is not whether one accepts human errors and if God knows better, the issue is that Muslims claim that modern science proves Koran, clearly that isn't the case. If you don't trust modern science, then at least don't claim it is on your side in this debate. That's all

  • @TheIslammiracle I've watched this video. And yes, if you wouldn't mind, please state 'how the cos is zero'.

This would clarify everything I've learnt from this video.

  • So you debunked a PREDICTION of a Islamic miracle, big deal .. even einsteins theory have been debunked lately

  • @etherealaz1 Here's the summary of your exchange with Theislammiracle:

"Hey, here's a miraculous prediction from the Koran!"

    - No, the prediction is inaccurate

"It's accurate... you guys just don't speak Arabic"

    - Yes, we do, and the prediction is still inaccurate

"Well then....... SCIENCE must be wrong! ha!

Not clever; clearly you cannot be reasoned with.

  • It is lucky I even saw this comment and replied to it should you know, I most likely won't visit again, so before you reply, remember, human accuracy :)
