Am I overly invested in this ship when chances are it won't sail? Does this song seem irrelevant to them? Is that David Harbour in the Green Hornet because he's only been in three scenes in this entire show? But have all his scenes so far been with Kate...? Could they have a beautiful secret spy relationship that is incredibly complicated by the cold war and their feelings?!?! IS THIS DEDICATED TO CHERYL???

after the first episode I was like otp because honestly even when he was pretending to be the Russian on the plane there was some srs chemistry and then he was an MI6 who was totally impressed with her attitude despite himself and already cares about her and wants her to succeed even though he doesn't want to get attached it's a cold war after all and she masks her interest in him with defiance because like he's a babe in a suit okay and he's british and then he touches her hand when he doesn't need to when he leaves and makes these faces like "who is this girl?" in a good I love you kind of way and then she calls him from berlin because she trusts him to help her but he can't because it's a cold war okay it's a cold war what don't you understand about that you beautiful ginger and then she goes against what he says and tries to help this poor german woman anyway because she can't just abandon her that's not who she is and she sees herself reflected in anke so when he tells her to let it go because the girl is expendable she assumes it's how he sees her and gets offended and he doesn't deny this but he doesn't confirm it either because he's getting attached and roger flies out to berlin to talk to her about this personally because she's not following orders but really did he need to fly from london to berlin to do this? yes because he has a thing for her and he doesn't want to see her get hurt but she's being reckless and doesn't understand that this is a cold war not a hot war seriously kate

and they could be so perfect he will just develop this connection with her and come full circle in another situation like in 1x03 and he would help her this time even though it's a cold war and he shouldn't because he's in love with her and she will grow to trust him more than any of her other contacts and they'll have airplane sex and a complex spy love affair that he tries to distance himself from because it's a cold war what is there not to get about a cold war and she'll be in love with him but she'll know her boundaries and they'll have so much angst just staring at each other and adorable omg you spy you moments and hugs in the heat of the moment that they try to brush off later and when they're completely and totally alone it's like bam let's make out

or she'll wheel that other contact guy who calls her baby and wears a fedora I can get behind that too I guess but not the way I can get behind this
