First attempt to demonstrate my typing on a manual typewriter. The table this video was filmed on was very unsteady. I will film another one on a more solid surface, such as the kitchen counter. The cost is that that counter is too high to type to one's fullest extent.

  • @Cunhamatatta The button on the right adds a "Tab Stop" at the current column. If I press and hold the "Tab" button at any point, the carriage will fly off and stop at the first Tab Stop it encounters. It's used for indentation and spacing, basically.

The equivalent button on the left will delete any tab stop you're at. The small silver lever on the right of the carriage that you see me press deletes all tab stops.

  • I have to ask: why do you type the space bar a few times then press that button on the right? What purpose does that serve?

  • @drumsolo23 Wish granted.

  • Wow you sure know how to bang away on a typewriter. I would love to see another video on an even surface. Keep up the good work.
