cid has a big gun.

Gotta say my mind = blown. Setting up a speed run for a Final Fantasy must take TONS of planning, prep, and strategy.
-
Correct. So, if you want a faster time, you should have only one file for saving FFXII data. Two files wouldn't hurt. You could use two to try this for the first time.

I also did try reloading and tried getting a better time but lost patience. In the Japanese Version, the game was beaten in 8 hrs and 38 minutes without Dustia and Zodiac Spear. As I mentioned before, Deedlit beat the game in 8 hrs and 6 minutes (that's what he claimed and I don't know if I believe him). The Japanese Speed run report mentioned something about a time of 6 hrs and 50 minutes. This could be possible by stealing and getting rare drops from enemies.

Yes, I've tested this and it's better than Dustia. If you just level with Dustia only, you will make less money but gain a little more LP. Also, Flans drop teleport stones which are probably needed for traveling faster. I started with Dustia at first and then spent time leveling with Flans for the rest of the game.

well haveing it a few hours off isnt that good but sheenas was a few mins

BTW, since you are thinking of a speed run, you can probably do the same things I did but instead of spending 1 hour grinding on Flans, you could take 40 minutes to level and gain LP pts and then breeze through the game. Deedlit (someone of gamefaqs) claimed to have beaten this in 8 hours and 6 minutes by just leveling for 40 minutes after Tiamat.

No problem. If you have several save data of FFXII on your memory card, you will gain 7 extra seconds on your save and load times. That's why it's best to use only one file for a speed run.
I see things were getting wild in the last battles, even Basch had to heal with Cura.

Yeah, Cid was just too fast for me and Famfrit did a lot of combos.
