WOW!! Just a joy to listen to!! Tom really put some time in on this. But in the RIGHT way. Once again, the focus was on the feel of the tune and playing for the music, and NOT on playing the craziest "7" groove imaginable with the "notiest" solo. Tom does a FANTASTIC job grooving, taking care to not step on the other instruments. The dynamic curves he uses in the groove are outstanding. Feels like a totally NATURAL 7 and not a contrived one being forced on the music. GREAT job on that Tom!! The space left in the solo around the hits makes me want to listen to that section OVER AND OVER! He doesn't just spew notes all over it. Rather, he makes it completely musical and INTERESTING for the listener!! Isn't that what being a musician is all about?? GREAT WORK here Tom!!! Your tenacity is what made this happen!!

  • This is sweet. I have a thing for irregular meter.

  • @bobblewobblesqueeg

Thank you. Sometimes the number 4 just gets so boring.

  • Nice job. I just did a video to this same track - Check it out. Let me know what you think.

  • Hallo ttomsdw.......great play

  • Ok thanks. I actually just got a drum teacher this month! Well hopefully i will get pretty good. Thanks again!

  • Thanks so much. Just take your time. Learn how to read music and if you can get some good one on one private instruction I highly recommend it.

If you want to get really good it's not enough to just "know" about the things that are possible on a drumkit....you have to start executing them.
