Now, people who personally know someone who's gay are much more likely to have positive attitudes, and schools that support their gay students and specifically prohibit anti-gay bullying are safer as a result. Gays don't need secrecy to be safe, and no child should have to live with the terrible bargain of fear that forces them into hiding. Yet that is what Brown demands of them when he asks that they do nothing.
@2112dan2112 While I understand that Michael Brown believes that they are sexually disordered deviants who are acting contrary to God himself, you must also consider that not all people share his beliefs, and most gay people are not ashamed of who they are. What Michael is advocating has been tried before. Gay people have had to stay closeted for centuries simply for their own safety, and this did absolutely nothing to eliminate the hatred that put them in danger.
So ultimately though I do not find error in his comments, I do find error in judgement in his need to comment at all. He saw an opportunity to use the situation like a tool and he used it. That can be re-worded as "taking advantage of the situation" and that IS a little unsettling, but even if hes dead wrong enirely you are still guilty of taking advantage of his error to completely defile his name. We are all guilty of contributing to hatred,we just have different agendas.
though I might raise a question as to his tactfulness when dealing with the sanctity of death. I can only say, and this is true for all, when you are passionate about a subject, and passionate about convincing others of your arguement, you often times use a situation or scenario as a tool to demonstrate your logic. Dr Brown is certainly guilty of that in this scenario. still there is truth to his arguement, that boy was used like a pawn by his lesbian principle.
@Imaxxacre1 Ill admit I was ignorant of Larry King and the circumstances of his murder until you brought it to my attention. I did research what i could of it including Dr Browns statement of "It is true that Brandon McInerney murdered Larry King in cold blood, but gay activism is complicit in his death." I cant expend any energy attempting to justify the Dr' comments, but for sure he did not say what you are saying that he said. (cont.)
@2112dan2112 This is a man who said that it was Larry King's own fault for being shot in the head at point-blank range, for no other reason than being gay. Michael Brown tried to blame just about everyone except for the murderer. This is some of the most absurd behavior I've seen in a long time. If your first thought after the murder of a gay student is that they shouldn't have been so gay, what the hell is wrong with you?
@Imaxxacre1 wow, that is just silly talk. Your hatred betrays you. By its fruit you judge a tree. Your fruit:disrespect and vile hatred and you beleive you represent wisdom? Silly talk.
Michael Brown is a gutless, foolish man. His absurd superstitions are no excuse for such loathsome, heartless, disgraceful idiocy. And I only hope that some day he can scrape together enough human decency to hate himself for what he's said and done. Stupid fucker!
What a beautiful and encouraging video! Let's all go out and make disciples
