I grew up and lived in Evanston until '47 - the "L" was my way around Chicago as a teen. I don't recall that we had the Holiday train then, but this and other videos of the "L" - sure brings back memories. The "Evanston Express" was "my" train then. Thanks so much for posting.

They post a schedule, but it's really funny when people don't realize it's coming -- you can see the surprise on their faces when they see it coming toward the platform

No money for service. Cta begging Springfield for more funding. Yet momey for an amusement park ride. What an insult, what a disrespect for the over 2400 employees that will be getting layed off early next year.

Mr. Davis...Are you sure from whence the funding for the Holiday Train comes? It is probably a different budget or source altogether. What would be better is a campaign to kick out of office all the legislators, governor, who haven't done anything for 10 months. But this isn't a political forum. I'll delete both posts in 3 days.
