  • This is an amazing performance. Really grainy but fascinating no less.

  • Booker was the most underrated tenor sax in the history of Jazz. I think that the strenght of Mingus as himsellf as human being and composer have compressed Booker: The same happeed with a lot of musicians in front of Mingus. I think also that the more free was Erich Dolphy.

  • I used to have the "Mingus: Live at Antibes" album that this tune is on. I never thought I'd get to see a video of this group. Thanks a lot. How about some more? The takes of Wed. Night Prayer Mtg and Prayer for Passive Resistance from this date are awe inspiring.
