Dolphin running on an Intel Atom powered Laptop.

Info:
Game: Super Smash Bros. Brawl (PAL)
CPU: Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz
GFX: Intel GMA 950 with 10inch 1024x600 screen
RAM: 1GB DDR2
OS: Windows 7 Pro 32bit
GFX Plugin: D3D 1024x600
SFX Plugin: Disabled
Speed: 18fps 55% menus | 9fps 25% ingame
Dolphin Build: r4635

Further information(running on netbook):
Audio enabled causes Dolphin to crash randomly.
OpenGL doesn't work at all(crashes) as the GMA950 doesn't fully support OpenGL 2.x.
D3D has many graphical errors, layer priority problems and missing objects

Trivia:
SSBB is also emulated in the background with a resolution of 1920x1080 running at 50fps(max) and 100% console speed.

P.S. I bought this game. Do the same if you haven't already!

  • The only Emulator that I could "JUST ABOUT" play on was EpsXe with the settings on Low....

  • @kyle247i, project 64 (n64 emu) works fine on my netbook. plus anything before that (nes, snes, etc)

  • how did you connect the gc controller to the netbook ?

  • @TheLightpro1, im using the Super JoyBox 13 (GC Controller to USB adapter)

  • i need to ask u this how did u get it to run on ur netbook i tried but i dont know what settings to put it on...i got tired of waiting on my ion to come in the mail so i just wanted to see how gamecube games operated until i got it

  • @jiant101

sorry cant remember. just disable everything unnecessary as well as things that might make games unstable for it to run at least. if you want speed, get some proper computer unit and/or play with the various options the emulator provides. though, you might wanna get a gamecube instead. or a wii...

  • runs like hosuing commish poor dordans poo

  • @OehrGmbH mine too.

  • does this happen to be an hp mini if so which version i have a 110 windows xp but same processor and video card with intel atom to boot so this should work on mine by following what you did?

  • in my acer aspire one works Dolphin ,with Resident evil Remake

  • Turn the Aero-Design off, might run better. Happened to me :) It should give a 2 - 3 FPS Boost, but i think it's still too slow.

  • @OehrGmbH where can i get super joybox 13?

  • lag heaven...

  • Try using a stripped down version of Windows 7 called Tiny7, yes, it's illegal, but I already own Windows 7 on a disc so I would assume it's legal that way, anyways, Brawl speeds up by 10% on my Aspire One using this stripped down OS!

  • no puedes subir tu version de dolphin por favor lo ando buscando pero no lo encuentro

  • @SummerGameProject Windows 7 automatically clocks the GMA945 to 400mhz, GMA booster is useless on Win7 unless you want to underclock for more battery life. Any one saying otherwise is suffering from a placebo affect, use a program like GPU-Z, and you will see that your clock is already at 400mhz without having to install GMA Booster on Win7. Windows XP is another story.
