happy memory: the most joyous audience singalong i've ever been a part of, to this song.
sad memory: this was the final song (a perfect choice) played on KSCA when it was the adult alternative radio station in LA and got sold. i remember getting caught up in the joy of listening to the song and being brought back to earth as the outro faded.

I remember him schooling me after finding Suzanne Vega in my collection..."christ, kid, if you're gonna listen to some Baez ripoff, make sure it's worth your time (puts on Texas Campfire songs) that or go steal mom's joni mitchell records! I first heard this song on KOTR, out of Cambria, CA, in 1991. I've loved Michelle's music ever since. I could never understand her lack of commercial success. Just fickle fate, I guess. Their loss, our gain.
