Like the mail horses of years past they know the routine. OK, this is where we stop for the tourists to look around, now where are my oats? Come on now, I'm waiting.... He looks content and well cared for.

He forgot his emergency flashers.

The horse was given oats so it wouldn't walk away while the driver was helping the passengers down. Did you see it turn it's head to the driver as he was getting down? He was expecteing/waiting for his treats!

So you've never sweat before?? My thoroughbred sweats just standing in the field yet she drinks about 4 five-gallon buckets of water a day. It's normal, it's what horses AND people do! The reason he have him grain was because it was the end of the ride and he was a good boy, not because he saw you with a camera. Stop trying to be an animal cop, and let the horse do the job he was bred to do.

@brooklynlulu I dunno bout central park horses, but i worked with carriage horses and they were very well taken care of and not abused or over worked.

That looked like normal procedure for that horse. Did you see him look to his driver for the bucket?? That tells me that this is the routine. He doesn't look mistreated or anything. In fact, he looks very well cared for. Also, as others have said, sweating is healthy. If it wasn't sweating slightly after that pull, then I'd be worried. Those horses are very strong and are able to pull big loads. One more thing, carriage horses can't move their body from side to side because of the shafts.

im sorry but you are wrong . this horse looks in very good health. their is something wrong with you . im an animal lover. i have owned horses. i think you know nothing about them . cheers from australia . your a moron . and it isnt nice to stir up trouble for people who have done nothing wrong. you should be ashamed of yourself . your revolting . hello from australia by the way.
Gosh I don't see any sweat on that horse. Just because they are sweating does not indicate any mistreatment or overwork. What it indicates is a healthy horse with a normal cooling system. My horses sweat just standing in the pasture. What I do see is a healthy, well trained horse doing a job it was meant to do.

@RadioReporter01 What PAIN??? I see a fat, content horse. And my guess is the driver put the grain in front of him to keep him occupied. My only criticism is this driver should not get down from the carriage until his passengers are off.
