  • I have just returned from Crete and went to Maleme to see HIll 107 that we lost so early on , what we got was this emaculate German Cemetary. It did make me question (and others we were with, including a Polish couple), how is it that the Germans get such a privlaged location when they inflicted such pain? We didn't see so many German names in the visitors book at the time? It all made for a lot of discussion.

Of course we did respect it is their final place of rest.

    New Zealander.

  • Yes but no. German paratroopers lived and died to chivalry.

  • This is political correctness gone mad! Wheres the nazi flags and emblems on the graves? After all they all swore an allegiance 2 Hitler and fought and died 4 the nazi cause!! History should not b glossed over no matter how evil

  • I visited here earlier this year . . . a very sad place

  • @JIMY45GR fag
