  • Join my Alamo group at YAHOO! DukesAlamo defends the notion that John Wayne's epic may well be the best American movie, by Americans and about America EVER MADE IN AMERICA!

  • alamo village

  • I love that place.

I first visited there in '88 to see The Alamo set.

Then I met Happy Shahan, the owner and became friends.

From then on my visits were to see him and the folks there and the set next.

They are a good groups of folks and the set is much better than the new one at Dripping Springs.

  • I went there too, it was awesome. I loved the Alamo Mission!

  • The Village is a great place to visit! I have been there many time. The first time, I was a child and "Bandalaro" was being filmed there. I watched the filming of Lonesome Dove and Rio Diablo. I was an extra in "The Gambler part V" and also "Bad Girls" There is a ton of Hollywood history in those hallowed adobe walls.
