This is a demonstration of a problem I keep having with certain games in Windows 7 64-bit. When I play them I run everything in compatibility mode for XP SP2 as an administrator.

I'm using Oblivion for this video. I'll post another one for another game; probably Civilization 4.

  • mine doesn't even start it just instantly crash.

  • Actually, the problem seems to be due to overclocked Graphics Card. The oblivion places a weird 3d overlay in the tab menu.

  • @TheWonderBoxGaming If you think that you're crazy. Skyrim is more robust, looks better, is optimized better, and is a better game overall. Of course I'm talking about the PC version. I feel sorry for anyone who plays these on a console.

  • @TheWonderBoxGaming no it isnt fuck off

  • oblivion is way better than skyrim am i right??

  • do you have VSYNC enabled?

  • why does that matter if the game works lol...I RECOMMEND INSTALLING DRIVERS MIGHT WORK...

  • I have the same problem with old games :(

  • @MrBrebuci Do you have an infrared receiver attached to your computer?

That was my problem, I had to unplug it.

    Then it worked fine.

  • Solution: Install 32bit Vers. of ur OS

64 bit is the problem with gaming and drivers

Give 64 bit another year or 2
