@cherihenryjaco They can and probably will create withdrawal symptoms.

If you are still depressed you should tell your parents and/or speak to a school counselor. Get help and know that you are not alone.

I can't readily agree that ssri's are not the answer for myself only. I stop taking them for a week and I feel like my heart is being pulled with barbed wire out of my eye socket. It can hurt. Besides that, i greatly appreciated the ideas here. :)

I think depression is linked with a few things in life for a guy in his teens and 20's. Friends, confidence, pursuit, sex. If one of these are deprived it could very well kill them.
This is a very reasonable model/theory, however it's a little too generalizing and tries to wrap thing up in too much of a neat little bundle. Not everyone will find this solution is the best solution to their depression.

@BestAtNothing That's fair. I think when people have had a lot of trauma in their lives, this model will leave a lot to be desired. But for many people, it really works!

I love your videos. I've never had an official diagnosis, but I relate to these videos so much that I feel comfortable with the term "bipolar," even though I like the term "awakening" better :). But I must ask, how do you feel about therapy? I've been going to cognitive therapy for about a month and am feeling pretty okay, but the topic of medication keeps coming up. Is it worth it to stay? I've been thinking about showing my doctor these videos actually, haha :)

@soyuncatacol If you like this video you should forget cognitive therapy and find a transpersonal psychologist. This entire video is based on Transpersonal Theory.
