me playing a very old violin. no lessons, i mostly just play by ear. the closest thing i got to taking private lessons was 8 years of strings class @ school.

i'll smile while playing when YOU smile during your playing. while i appreciate your suggestion, smiling during playing is not what i do often...that's the least of my problems..as long as i can play the song decently and in tune, w/ a good vibrato, then i'm happy..i do smile in a couple of my other vids, but anyway..like you just said, everyone has their own style, so what i do is my style..as long as it's not sore to the eyes, then i'll keep doing what i'm do.

Hello, thanks for leaving a comment on one of my postings, I apperciate it. I can tell you definately like playing violin. GREAT. You are very good in the concept of using the full length of your bow and your vibrato is nice too. I'd suggest smiling while you play, especially this elvis song. I found that smiling releases chemicals in your body and slightly makes you happier, and thus, may improve your tone and also the style of what you are playing.

Well, I did mention to smile when appropriate of course. I do smile when I play the Sicillienne, more specifically when the key changes or it falls on a major, more pleasing chord. Yet that and the other two I posted are pieces of sadness and regret, so they weren't very appropriate. But anyway, it was merely a suggestion, keep up the great work.
