These people like Joan Baez, Richie Havens and many others who performed in Woodstock `69 were not only great musicians, but also, and perhaps most importantly, were brave people. Remember the speech Baez made prior her performance. Uplifting, encouraging ! It seems that she holds my hand when I'm afraid to walk further and continue on my path .

I bought Joan Baez's album "From Every Stage" and it is a live concert album and you should hear her sing this song in 1976! Just as good as this performance. Her soprano was and still is one in a million. I wish we had more female singers that would choose songs like this and sing them like she did. Baez has been singing for almost 50 years and always stayed true to her roots.
