At the big venue i was on a large stage i had my lights set up on the stage about 9 feet high. the lights were shining about 20+ feet away. wich i never had to do before. and i was unhappy with the result. So thats why i want bright, quality lights.
-
thank you for that input. what would you say is the longest distance you can shine them to where they still look good? Ive bee djing at smaller places and my lights have worked fine. but recently i played at a big venue and when the light went out. i was surprised and dissapointed at how unwell they lit up the dance floor. so now i want quality lights that will brighten a big dance floor.

Hey gerard, THE DJ SPOTS 250's are very bright, Tommy works with us at our company.. and the lights totally win over a crowd, we always look for the best for our fans, and before we had tommy get them, we wanted to have the best we could get.. you could spend.. $3,000 on a mac.. but why when you could have the same bulb watts etc.. i could say as a lighting director that this was the best investment i ever made

ive been debating on getting some of these DJ spot 250's or some generic models that have 575W gas discharge bulbs but the 575W are 75LB each, but Im worried that the spot 250's wont be bright enough for larger rooms. Tell me have you ever wished that they were brighter. or do you think they are perfect the way they are? will be buying for of them soon and i cant decide. please help.

what I need to know is what kind of software Need for this type of light (dj spot 250) work with any software connected to my computer?

@tqndama I use Freestyler dmx (the program is free to download) and get yourself a Connector that you can program with like a labtop to the connector then to your lights.
