I remember I was about 6 or 7 when I saw this performance on tv and I thought it was the most heavy metal thing I ever heard. Hearing it now I realize how wrong I was but still a very cool version of the song.

Which album? He does it this slow on Tripping the Live Fantastic, which really suit it's placing on the setlist.
They medly'ed 3-4 songs in a row for the whole double album. They transitioned into Sgt Pepper's from something slower and had to pick up the temp at the bridge at 2:06 or so.
