@96trenton common misconception there.... there is nothing but metal here.. no safety equipment.. A/C.. power steering.. etc... except a seatbelt... These cars aren't that heavy... Based on the few people that actually own them (65 stang)... they should be a little lighter but not by much... In any case... its built 302 with a c4... gears are going to get tall reallll quick..

of course the gto won its newer lighter and because the engines newer theyve devoloped ways to put more horses under it and still give u total control and the gas tank isnt made of cast iron in the gto like it is in the mustang duh if ur gonna race do it rite race cars of the same era now an 06 mustang vs an 06 gto thats reasonable but an 06 gto vs a 65 mustang come on how stupid can u get

Austrlian built GTO.GM went real cheap with this car, at least make it look like a GTO like the camaro or challenger...

@telecaster31 there is a small advantage there, but a good driver can shift really fast, so the turbo doesnt wind down *that* much and you make that loss up pretty quickly because of the higher transmission efficiency. you can also power shift...though id never do that to my car
