Actually, 'deano', Billy was the arranger/conductor on Frank's "updated" version of the song for his 1958 Capitol album, "Come Fly With Me" [in 1941, he was playing (and collaborating on songs) with Glenn Miller's band].

okay...I'm confused. someone help. I heard that Billy May had something to do with this song. Was he in Dorsey's orchestra or something??...or did Sid Mark screw up when he played the song on his show?

This was a double-sided hit for Tommy Dorsey's orchestra, featuring vocals by Frank, Connie and the "Pied Pipers" {with Jo Stafford}. Recorded, in two parts, on February 17, 1941.

Thank God no Frank to fuck it up.

I was born in the thirties and I know what you're talking about. That era produced some great music.

Awesome song. LOVE IT.
@nyrangers2813 I was born in 1963 and I couldn't agree more. The thirties and the forties had the best music and the best singers and performers. I'm so glad that there are people my age and younger who appreciate it. Hi from England!

Jo Stafford and The Pied Pipers with Connie Haines and Frank Sinatra! Tommy Dorsey carried 6 (SIX) singers with the band at that time!
