@chalsfo No I was talking about the physical acts of abuse which the Hillsong Church covered up. Now that you mention it I think a church teaching children that evolution doesn’t exist, when it has been absolutely shown to be true by science, does amount to abuse. I think this is why Hillsong targets children and young people, they are easier to lie to (Hillsong has a very high turnover, so they don't actually stay very long).

ministers pretended to have cancer and to be healed by prayer. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your perspective) it was discovered that he had made the entire thing up and had never been ill at all.

The Houstons were involved in a complex real estate scam… basically they sold their apartments to the Church for a hugely inflated sum, the Church took it and ‘Donated’ it to a ‘charity’ run by Hillsong, this ‘Charity’ then donated it back to the Houstons. What this meant was

that the Houstons could continue pretending to have no income, which is what they have always done, whilst making several million dollars and pay no tax on this sum. As someone who worked as a nurse for twenty years, and paid my share towards schools, hospitals etc I find this particularly irksome and the fact that the Houstons can lecture on morality whilst being guilty of such dishonest behaviour is revolting. This is also why most real charities in Australia view Hillsong with contempt.

About the "pretend to have cancer", sounds like you can belive what you se/hear. But you do know, some of them are outside the church, and not all do become christiens just happy to be cured.
