SikTh Bass Tapping

I play the bass solo's to the SikTh songs As The World Spins Round and Skies of a Millennium Night.

I know Skies isn't played right, thats my own improv version that I like playing so i kept it that way. Its pretty much the same riffs just in a different structure.

...I think about buying the boss ME-50B too but first I want to buy the Yamaha RBX 375, thats why I found your video ;-)

What do you think about the Yamaha?

I really like the bass. Its good and solid and you can really shape the sound with the tone controls. When i first got it, the action was a bit high, but that was easily lowered and then i had to lower the pickups, but its all simple to do. Sounds awesome now. I play a wide range of styles and it is a winner with them all, 'cept maybe slap, but you can get used to it and raking is easier.

Yea, I used phaser on the first part and for the second part I used reverb, delay and echoe. All from my boss ME-50B

You guys, it just takes adjusting.

Slapping is easy on it and it has a pretty wide neck compared to other basses in it's price range...hell even expensive ones have narrow necks.

The action is a problem though...it's that bridge! It has more mass than a Leo Quan!

Best thing to do is shim the neck, that will give you the low action you desire.

Price is missleading on this one...I think it's great and I've got a Fender Urge II and I still play this one!
