@orochiThing Just let it go mate, Matthew is correct. I have a 6spd S15 R (in AU we can get ADM and JDM versions) and know for a fact that NZ gets what is essentially a JDM version with 240kph speedo like he described - thus 6spd and SR20DET, power output of around 250PS (all from factory). The kiwis have it good, and the aussies didn't do to bad either, shame the S15 didn't get delivered to your side of the pond. They are nice cars and get the job done. :)

I've driven both and I prefer the S15 in droves. Its a car that begs to be driven. It has a much sharper feel to it and you can instantly tell that you are in control of a great, great chassis... The turn in is far superior to the RX8's too (probably why it is prone to oversteer). The RX8 is nowhere near as accelerative or torquey and the front end feels too light for my liking. RX8 is a great car, but for me, the S15 wins by a long shot.

@matthewolsen Please post up some pics, and while you at it some videos too on youtube. You seem like a very angry person and as a person seem to show no nissan pride. I feel sorry for the soul of your car and you should be ashamed of representing that nissan badge. Yes i am an american and all though some of our cars have been down graded due to polution law i still show love for all my cars. Even if i had an r34 i would still show love to an old car like the 240.

continued from below, also 200sx's had no speed cut and 240km/h speedo, NZ also got JDM Spec S and R S15s as imports and a 200sx is exactly the same as a spec R s15, its just that the 200sx was sold new in NZ it wasn't imported, but thats only 200sx's in NZ I know that in Aus. and Europe the specs are different again.

@orochiThing Ok I take it your American, just FYI just because it doesn't exist in America doesn't mean its like that everywhere, first of all there's no such thing as a 240sx in NZ and the shitty KA engines that went along with them, my 200sx was in fact a 6 speed and factory SR20DET, I could post up some pictures if you'd like? In NZ a 200sx is exactly the same as a JDM S15 Spec R with a few very minor changes namely the badge from Silvia to 200sx ;

@matthewolsen the name 200sx refers to a high majority of the 240s and datsuns. You can show off your s15 body with a turbo but that still doesnt make it a s15. Unless your car is a 6-speed, its no were close to a s15. Sorry bro, no matter how hard your trying to make your a car a s15 it wont be one. Closest your gonna get is if u get a sr20de/t. And having a turbo doesn't make you anymore hard. Lastly, please learn to use some periods, my eyes are bleeding rereading your post.

@matthewolsen Ok I'm lost. I just read the information I posted above on a site listing all spec levels. Oh well, they should all be debadged and turbo anyway lol I guess I got the specs mixed up with the silvia badged cars on the local market. Thanks for clarifying that I'll keep quiet now haha

@papapetad Dude your wrong I live in NZ and I currently own a 200sx which is the s15 shape all 200sx's in NZ are turbo because 200sx means NZ new and thats how they were delivered to NZ we also got all the JDM versions of the car you cannot get a Spec S thats turbo all the 200sx's that were s15 shape are either Spec R or Spec R II definitely no Spec S
-
@eeidenzurg haha all good, at least we can be more accurate if the question ever pops up again ;)
-
@papapetad i think i must apologize aswell as i didn't knew au/nz spec s were also turbo'ed...in any case this dude driving skills are quite good :D

its not all about power guys, calm down. there is more to a car...especially a track car than shitloads of power. you guys are acting like theres no way to get power out of it when its easy to just swap out parts with performance ones
