@mateo51790 On June 1, 2011, Colin Campbell's son, Gregory Campbell, and his team (Boston Bruins) made it to the Stanley Cup Finals. As his role as senior vice-president for player safety and hockey operations included head disciplinarian, there were questions regarding the ethics of having someone in that position being able to use their power to help a family member's team, and Colin Campbell stepped down by his own request; he was replaced by Brendan Shanahan.

@TommyWiseauFawker Wtf? U make no sense man, honestly... like wtf r u even talking about? And what? He can't resign the day the finals start???
-
@mateo51790 How about not suspending Horton for spraying water at fans? I thought that was a big no no then he scores the OT winner in game 7. So yeah, it does have something to do with the stanley cup. Then he conveniently resigns the day the first game of the finals was played, how interesting.

@TommyWiseauFawker Ya but that bad memory became a little piece of history that now all u Boston shit-talkers don't talk about anymore cuz Philly was embarrassed the following year... And wtf? How in any way at all did Campbell have anything 2 do with Boston winning the Stanley Cup? That makes zero sense, stop trying 2 make BS excuses.
-
@mateo51790 It does mean something. Because it's not a good memory of the Bruins they act like it didn't happen. I know who won the cup last year, Colin Campbell.
-
But Mcquaid looked like he wanted to elbow Richards.
-
I really hate boston and Mcquaid but you dont to see a guy hurt like that
-
@TommyWiseauFawker Lol u actually think that means anything? They didn't win the Stanley Cup that year anyways, but who did last year? That's what I thought...
-
@mateo51790 Who lost when up 3 games to 0 the year before?
@Coolwhip3791 Yes. It's hockey. And if you fly head first into the boards (trying to elbow a guy in the fucking face), you are going to be made fun of.

Hi, I'm Brenden Shanahan of the NHL's department of player safety. In the 2011 playoffs, an incident occured in a game between the flyers and the bruins. With 2:30 left in the first period, the boards at the Wells Fargo Center put a target head hit on Adam McQuaid. As you can see McQuaid is in a vunerable position, this means the responsibility is on the boards not deliver a dangerous hit. Taking into consideration that McQuaid is a Bruin i have decided to suspend the boards for 2 seasons.
