I loved these videos. I try to learn as much as I can. In regards to the Luna Maria it is indeed lava that filling in a lower plane.
However it was not caused by an impact creator. The Maria are lower tectonically, the lava flowed from inside the planet and pushed the upper tectonic plate outward from the rifts. That explains the bunching up you see on the moon. Mercury also has tectonic spreading & cracking that reveals an under surface. Planets crack open pushing land out & away like on Mars.

It's a sad comentary on our society because ratings thrive on dumbass reality shows. When we attempt to discuss this subject matter with Mr. or Ms. average TV viewer, we can expect a blank stare with 'duh' as a return.

Awesome uploads! It stuff like this that makes the internet so valuable to some....
In that regard your view isn't selfish.I agree that the internet provides a wonderful avenue for continued learning. Those of "us" who seek to do so, will never provide the critical mass that will motivate the media.I wonder though,if the internet is not begining to serve the same purpose for the average person?Surely the novelty of online porn must wear off eventually. What then but to satisfy the other aspects of life they may be curious about?

Perhaps our modest efforts here on Youtube may help to do just that :)

Bruno,I do think mass media is necessary.Primarily because the average viewer, listener is also fascinated by these subjects.the problem is,they don't often have the background knowledge to be able to fully understand and thus appreciate what is shown.

I agree that mass media has a place in reaching the average viewer and sparking their interest in science, but they are doing a very poor job of producing more advanced content. When I said "we" I was talking about those of us who are want to continually increase our scientific knowledge - from my own selfish point of view.

Oh how I love seeing this stuff hot off the press. Why TV ignores it is beyond me, and something the networks should be ashamed of. Thank you for uploading, Bruno.

We don't need the mass media any more, now that we've got the internet, but it would be great if the scientists could be persuaded to produce more multimedia content for the intelligent audience.
