  • It's strange, even funny, to see someone conduct and play at the same time, but that's the way it was in Beethoven's times.

  • This was Beethoven's first piano concerto. But it was published second, therefore it's called the 2nd piano concerto. In this concerto you will hear much reminding W. A. Mozart!

    Afterwards Beethoven developed his own piano-style. Anne-Sofie Mutter once said: "Without W. A. Mozart Beethoven's compositions wouldn't have been possible." I assume she is right.
