@WolverineHistorian I want to thank you wolverine historian for posting your excellent collection of Michigan vidoes. including the classics of the late great Bob Ufer
-
Yes, Ufer said that Michigan had shaved a few hairless nuts. If that was said today, it would be on every blog and every sportscast of any kind in America. Hysterical
-
Shut out by Michigan in Columbus...not one of Hayes' better days.
-
No, I'm not catholic, just careless. LOL! I found that hilarious and I happen to be catholic.
-
@twyman do you still have the recordings?
-
From listening to these videos, I see I wasn't the only one who used to tape Bob Ufer's Meeeechigan football broadcasts. So many names I haven't heard in years - in this case, I hadn't heard the names Jerry Zuver and Dom Tedesco in about 36 years!! Gosh, I miss Bob Ufer!
-
Chris Schenkel at the beginning, I think.
-
Rob Lytle RIP

You've gotta Love Bob Ufer. "Bless your cotton-pickin' soul, from Virginia." As a Virginia native & a Michigan die Hard, I think it's time we go to Columbus this weekend & shave a couple of hairless nuts! GO BLUE

What's with the horn sound?I've heard the same horn sound when I watched the video of Anthony Carter scoring the game winning touchdown that beat Indiana in 1979.Was that something Bob Ufer always did whenever Michigan scored a touchdown?

I'm surprised you don't know the story. I thought every UM fan did.
Ufer always likened UM playing a game of football to the military conquest of General George Panton in World War 1. The horn actually came from Patton's jeep. Bob would honk the horn 3 times for a touchdown, 2 times for a field goal or safety and 1 time for an extra point.
