Mission: To Empower Women by figuring out what works and what doesn't. I want all of you to feel beautiful and empowered so you can show yourself to the world!

My opinions and who I am are not for sale. I will not prostitute my thoughts.

Love, Daisy

So I've struggled FOREVER for figuring out how to create a good Youtube video. Remember, I DO THIS ALL MYSELF (editing, filming, etc) so they don't teach you how to make a Youtube video as an econ major.

The most important thing is to have good lighting. If you're not filming in natural sunlight, GOOD LIGHTING IS ESSENTIAL. I bought these lights from Amazon.com and if you look at my most recent videos, the quality has improved drastically, and this is why :)

Tripod: You will need a 60 inch tripod (for shoots outside, where you don't have tables, for full length videos) and a smaller tripod to set ontop of tables

  • @msbasquin np! go do it! u can be like me and privatize them at first :) and yes, i've neglected all other aspects of my life for Youtube

  • This is real good advice not only for taking videos but also for photograhy. You used simple and easy to find equipment that will not break your wallet/purse. Awesomely done!

  • so you need two cameras? like how michelle phan does it, once she applys the eye makeup, she has a further away shot of her face.. u would need two cameras right? should the better camera be the close up one? :o

  • Thank you so much for making this video and answering the questions and giving answers of what i was looking for. i want to start making makeup tutorials too so thanks to your video now i know. im going to subscribe and watch your video :)

  • wow really great information xx

  • This was such a helpful video! I've been considering making a channel for makeup, but this is what was holding me back! Thanks for the tips! (:

  • I'm not sure if someone has mentioned this yet, but the umbrellas are designed for diffused light and are often used pointing away from the subject. That's how I've used them in the past (though I used reflective ones for photography). Obviously if this works for you, that's great, but I just thought I'd mention it. :) Great videos!

  • @daiserz89 Thanks!
