Its a shame about the steroids-you can blame him for that-BUT, steroids did not make him the ball player he is or give him his swing. His mechanics DESTROYED baseballs. Call him what you want, he may deserve much of it, but don't criticize his play. He was hall of fame material before steroids were ever part of the picture. He was an elite major leaguer through his entire career. Sad ending for him and his fans. I'm a Dodger fan so the Giants get no love from me, but he was a ball player!

Just ask Neifi Perez who just got an 80 game suspension for steroids. He hit .172 in 33 games for the Tigers.

Barry Bonds walks 20%-25% of the time. He gets maybe 1 good pitch every 5 at bats. Even the old timers didn't get walked intentionally as much as Barry did in 1 season. Best pair of eyes and quickest hands gets him where he is today.

thats awesome dude i that would be cooli live in boston and i was there the day that they played the red sox and im a giants fan so it was like everytime that he came up every1 booed and it seemed like i was the only 1 cheerin and i agree with andrewhagen its not alot of times u see people this happy to see him and i bet all the people that say shes a cheater and a loser and all that would be happy to meet him in real life becuz of his acomplishments

Yeah I traveled to see the Giants play at Boston too! We took the tour at Fenway. Great ballpark. I'll admit the 756* posters were pretty funny. When Barry almost hit that one ball out on Friday, everyone started cheering, then it got all quiet when they found out it wasn't a homer. The BOOs are out of respect for the greatest baseball player to every play the game.
