This video is a survey of the tools I use for medieval limp binding. I apologize if the video is a bit shaky, it was made before the acquisition of my tripod. Hopefully this will give you some insight into the tools and their uses. Just as a note, the tools are not entirely period, but used to create an end product that is representative of a medieval limp bound style book.
