  • AFAs days are numbered. They were defeated at DL (pending interference changes), likely to get extinguished at FL, IAM will likely replace AFA once UA/CO are merged. The fact AFA is soliciting donations from their (former) NW members for another campaign/revote is revealing. The sun has set on Pat Friend and the AFA!!!

  • Yes, but Southwest has a union. Their CEO puts the employees first. Can you honestly say that Anderson does?

If we do not have representation after this merger, Anderson and Bastian will chew us up and spit us out. You should inquire why the pilots are getting a 30% pay increase and there has been no mention of an increase in in-flight.

    VOTE AFA!!!

  • inflight: There are MANY AFA carriers that have great relationship between mgt and FAs. Alaska is a great example. Also, believe it or not, we (NWA) have had good relations at many times with our executives. However, it isn't about the 'relationship', it is about mutual respect and leverage - two things you can't have with a company that fears its workers having a contract.
