Is this braid good for a texture wrap around a cylinder?
Like a bunch of them stacked up around a water bottle for instance?

This is awsome, thanks for posting these! :)

What type of rope are you using? Is it the same in all your videos? I tried using paracord and it worked but It just doesn't keep its shape that well.

Its actually a turks head :D

True, but it is also commonly referred to as the Round Plait - I originally learned it under that name. Interestingly, even a simple overhand knot can be called a Turk's head (two lead, three bight) if the ends are attached together! See ABOK#2280/2285

how do u end the lines?
xINTENCITYx 3 years ago
Hi xINTENCITYx - I end the lines, once the plait is the right size and shape, by cutting and whipping/melting the ends so that they are both hidden under one of the loops. I then sew them in place.
At about 2:00, you can see that the plait has two full turns and the ends both pass under a bight on the lower-left side. It's at that point that I'd trim, whip, and sew them so that the whole plait appears as having two passes/strands throughout, viewed from the top.
I hope that helps!
