@drew580 hey have you ever had a kx250f blow up on you because ive heard from alot of people that they blow up alot
-
@drew580 true lol thank you for the help!
-
@vovkman14 only if the valve clearances are out of spec
-
@drew580 at 15 hours do you usually change the shims?
-
@vovkman14 i change the piston every 20-25 hours and check the valve clearances every 15. And change the oil every 3-5, which may seem like a lot but the motors get so hot that it just destroys the oil.
-
@drew580 Nice, I heard the exhausts do allot to help even out the power, Im just switching to this bike from an 85, what kind of maintenance do you do on your bike like every twenty hours, because thats when wed change piston and rings on my 85, is it the same, or would you just shim the valves
-
@vovkman14 at the time of the video it was stock but now it has the suspension revalved and softer springs, wiseco high compression piston, twin air air filter. And it will have a pro circuit Ti-5 exhaust on it in the spring
-
@drew580 Yea I guess so, there's no easy way to get it. Just wondering if you have any upgrades on your bike?
-
@vovkman14 all I can tell you is the more seat time you have on the bike, the more comfortable you will be with letting the bike lean over on the takeoff and kind of sliding the wheels sideways. Its hard to explain lol
-
Hey, is there any trick to you're scrub/whip? I've been practicing absorbing the faces of jumps but it never turns out quite as nice as yours do lol
