  • THIS was god netflix has it i never heard of it till i was googling for nude pictures of sissy spacek and dont ask me why i was doing that after a bottle of jamesons i'm liable to do anything..well anything legal..this was a great action flick with a few quick scenes of 70s fur..

  • Anyone know any films like this?

  • @miramamimira I don't see how it's "hollow at its center": it made an indelible impression on me, and I should greatly like to see the whole film again (hint). The baddies are among the most nauseatingly evil ones ever seen on the screen, and their greatly deserved come-uppance meted out by Marvin is most satisfying. The brutal, uncouth bully chewing on a raw sausage stuffed with human meat and, and live female human meat awaiting carnal consumption in a cattlepen are unforgettably unique.

  • Much underrated film. This is still one of the most extraordinary opening sequences I've seen. And the combine harvester chase is great!

  • This is a short (85 mins.), lean and mean thriller-satire that went over everyone's head when it was released back in '72. It's remarkably well shot and edited but hollow at its center, as if they cut the guts out of it. Still, it's very entertaining, with great moments like the title sequence above, a chase through a vast wheat field culminating in a combine-and-limousine collision and a brief shoot-out in a sunflower field. Marvin is properly stoic, Hackman suitably vicious, Spacek plain sexy.

  • Great little action thriller with a gangster as the main hero. Lee traded on his Point Blank / Dirty Dozen persona there.

  • reminds me of the simpsons episode where theyshowthe little girl the 'magic' of where beefburgers come from

  • enjoys his work just a little too much.

  • yes they did
