@loveaction12 The European version is devoid of any intentionally humorous scenes, such as the the zombies being pied in the face by the bikers. I guess Dario Argento doesn't believe that humor has any place in horror.

Not that I don't doubt he'll make another sequel, but I'm not sure it will be any time soon. He was supposed to have made a sequel last year called "Island of the Dead", but that fell through. It could be some time before he gets a sequel made, especially if you look at his other dead movies. 10 years between NotLD and Dawn, 7 years between Dawn and Day, 20 YEARS between Day and Land. The only reason why Diary followed Land by 2 years was because of the zombie movie craze.

I purposely left it out since I didn't own it when I made the video. But even if I had it at the time I probably would have still left it out since it's not really part of the original movies. Romero views it as being a relaunch of the series and takes it back to day 1. I might get around to reviewing it separately, or like this if a sequel is ever made.

The Night remake was good. But it always irks me that they turned barbara into ripley from alien. If the dead came back to life, somebody would lose their freakin' mind! But for some reason it was a feminist issue for them. So they made barbara the god machine at will. Also, I think it was unfair to over simplify "Diary" to such a degree. It may not be the traditional format for him, but I enjoyed the creativity it produced quite a bit. I think it may be a step or two above land.

Dawn Of The Dead & Day Of The Dead are the best of the series! (Sadly there's a remake of Day Of The Dead, I heard it has nothing to do with the original.)

@zukiezuke I guess that's as good a way to explain it as any. I'm not sure that will work for me, but I can definitely understand how you could see it that way. And overall that's such a small complaint I have to what's probably the most worthy remake ever attempted. I'm still just as likely to watch the 1990 version as I am to watch any of the other six films.

@existenceisrelative i think she did lose her mind, just in a different way from the original, instead of turning into a useless lump, she went from a calm timid person into a rage. granted it is over the top, but it's possible and understandable.

I love all of these movies but I thought Diary of the Dead was really bad, I hated it, if you liked it I have no problem, but I think it's Romero's worst movie, and I have seen Season of the Witch
