The Last Airsoft Game at Cambridge, Part I

Airsoft Iowa's final game at the Cambridge field was held on April 26, 2008. In this video, shot at that game, players from the EFF base will attempt to capture a fortification known as the Money Shot within 30 minutes. Attacking players respawn at the EFF base every five minutes, while defending players respawn at The Alamo.

This was a Regular Weekend Game (RWG), a monthly event that's far less structured than some of the larger games held a few times a year- no ammunition or magazine restrictions, no team uniform requirements (or rigidly defined teams for that matter) etc. Just having fun running through various game scenarios in the woods, accompanied by the ever-present mosquito population.

Warning to those with sensitive ears: A couple players use profanity in a few places. Consider this video to be nominally PG-13.

what's the fps limits in the field??

There was a 1J limit on weapons capable of full auto, so about 350FPS with a .20g BB. But that was when the field was active... Been closed for a full year now.

its the honor rule, if you get hit you yell hit or out or whatever the word they want you to yell when you are hit

ppl in airsoft know respect and are honest when they are hit (most of the time)

other wise refs will call you out

besides if you dont call yourself out they wont stop shooting you

Damn i need to be in one of these games. ive been out of season from april we dont have any games because i got into a fight about me getting people out and they dont call it even though there are bbs stuck in theis facemask and the paintball bbs explode across their vest

Interesting. We're actually setting up a field at a friends grandparents ...ex? I guess would be the term - cow field. It is a four square acre area with 50 foot patches of forest, fenced in. Interested to see how it works.
