It's not just about vegetarianism or getting rid of all meat products; the real objective here is to provide options for those of us who are more health-conscious than others. Granted, some will want to keep their regular food, and in my opinion we should keep some of the snacks or some of the old stuff, but we need to provide as many school lunch options as is humanly possible to our students. They deserve to eat what they want and not be hindered by any restrictions of any kind in school.

I'm not a vegetarian or a vegan but honestly theres absolutely no downside to doing "healthy" lunches. I think they should eliminate fried foods altogether, so vegetarians don't think they're eating healthy when they eat french fries, etc. so great veggie options plus maybe grilled chicken/fish is really the way to go...

Healthy food in school, what a concept.... Why hasn't this been done YEARS ago??

As long as its an option, and the people who do eat meat can still eat meat, then i'd support it

I love this vid! Great job!
Fabulous message, young lady!
Eating healthily prevents childhood obesity, which is now an epidemic disease, one that has become mainstreamed with drugs to treat the symptoms of high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.
The drug companies are getting richer while our children are becoming sicker!

It's about time! Healthy kids = good grades. That's what schools should be about. Boot the pizza huts and mcdonalds out of your schools (depriving them of revenue - which is all they're about anyway) and teach the children how to live healthy lives.
