Yes, it was from Larry Bird night. Thanks for posting that date. I think the Celtics might have also owned Sportsradio 590 WEEI at this point too.

Ah, yes, the green background under the number 25. This must be from when the Celtics owned the station, as Rupert couldn't figure out whether he wanted TV or the Herald. He kept the Herald then, but got WFXT back, then sold the Herald to one of his lieutenants. Nowadays, the FCC doesn't really care.
Also, if I had to guess, the TV special being introduced is Larry Bird Night at the Garden February 4, 1993; they retired his number. Nonetheless, it is related to Larry Bird.
