japanese phones doesn't rock they just look good. n97 is great but it's pretty expensive i guess.

dude it will obviously have portrait mode. go to mobile-review and check out the s60v5 os review. This has the same OS as 5800 and it has portrait alphanumeric or mini qwerty or handwriting entry. and also, alphanumeric has t9 support too, it is definitely there in n97 as its same like 5800, both are symbian s60v5 os. hope that cleared your doubt!
