Don't explain to us, the customers, about your compensation problems. That's between you and your boss. If you can't get what you need from your employer, look for another job. I worked in restaurants for 4 years. Then I moved on to bigger and better things. Tips are for exceptional service. Average doesn't cut it.

dLimboStick: What people don't seem to realize is that tips are really not optional. Its a good thing that 90% of people don't think the way that you do! If they did, then restaurants would have to pay their servers more money hourly. Do you know what that means? Higher prices at ALL restaurants with servers. So if people stop tipping, they probably won't be able to afford dining out anymore. This is a restaurant industry fact. Just saying. God bless!
