all mario kart games deserve 5/5.....but i wish the 2 ppl on 1 kart from double dash contiuned...even as a option......double dash will always be my fav....even tho the only mario kart game i haven't played was this and Mario kart 7

The only thing I didn't like about Mario Kart Wii was the fact that the Wi-Fi battle mode switched between Balloon Battle and Coin Runners. You couldn't choose one or the other :(

@lava172 Also, Battle mode shouldnt have been changed, the bikes give you an unfair advantage (But are still cool) The main menu and character selction screen is bland, the graphics look terrible (and I'm not making fun of the Wiis horsepower. After seeing games like Super Mario Galaxy and Skyward Sword which have supreme graphics, MK Wii couldve done a lot better than using more than Double Dash's Graphics) nd it's just an inferior game to the rest of the series. MK 7 is far Superior.

@lava172 No 12 racers was fine. I do prefer 8 racers because thats the way its always been but 12 isnt that much of a change since both are very exciting. Its the fact that the AI cheat and destroy you. Everytime I get up to first a blueshell is just WAITING for me along with the billion other items trailing behind my back just as I hit first. Also since Nintendo took out the split second invincibility after you take a hit, you can go from 1st to 12th in a matter of seconds.

The reason they changed Balloon Battle was because they knew people would leave if they were knocked out and waiting for the next round if they stuck to the original formula so they made it point and time based instead of elimination. Though I do agree it was a stupid move that they removed Bob-omb blast and personally I don't like there was no option for free for all battle. At least you can do that in MK7 as well as making a bob-omb balloon battle mode.
