Yes the commentary it's not Romanian but the accident was in Romania, Bacau city on 24 june 1995, belive me I know...and the pilot didn't fly straight because he avoided the spectators. At that moment he had to choose between him and the spectators...and he did a good choise (not from my point of view - I'm his son).

That's Yak 52 - trainer airplane - it's build few hundred meters from the place of that crash, along the runway is the Romanian factory which produce it, it's the only Yak52 producer in the world.And it seems it wasn't a propeller or engine malfunction but a stall, and the pilot couldn't recover, being too close to the ground, but he managed to avoid the spectators.From what I know, the copilot survived but with serious spine injury,

It's training Yak-18, not air-acrobatic Yak-52

Tried a gutsy manoeuvre at at too slow a speed and stalled it?

@Valy18 Trust me, I know it was on 24 June 1994...
Sorry for my mistake in earlyer post...the date of the accident was 24 June 1994.

@razvy79rzv It was on 4 June 1995 . I am Romanian and I was there .

@williamacro Whether the engine died or the propeller was 'disconnected', the pilot could fly the airplane the same. Dead engine/disconnected propeller yield the same results. The propeller may just look like it's going slow because of a high shutter speed on the camera.
