seriously? Maybe because when blacks became the majority, the city devolved into chaos and crime, and became the murder capital of the world.
Call it racism if you want, but facts is facts. And the proof of ANYBODY's life is in the fruit of their life.

Blacks are not aliens and that goes for any other race!
sometimes I am ashamed for being a white person! God made all these races and He loves them, He knows that they are not aliens, they are human beings!
OPEN YOUR EYES AND SEE EVERY RACE IS BEAUTIFUL IN A AMAZING WAY!

lmfao thats where they fucked up letting the niggers in
-
Michael Jackson did not owe Gary anything. Selfish greedy people.

The whites left because the blacks reverted to the animal like behaviour they are built to exibit, they turn into savages, robbing, raping, attacking innocent people when they get control of anywhere, look at the shit state of every african country both financially and from a point of view of stability for proof of my point....

@260video No, everywhere in the world that there are Blacks in the majority, there are much higher levels of crime, lower employment, basically, the place falls to shit because they are still apes in a humanoid body, this sounds bad, but it is the truth..

@nowaveshow Because blacks are usually destructive less evolved and unintelligent, they have nothing other than cheap labour to offer whites. Wherever blacks live in the majority unchecked, trouble, poverty and crime increases, just like in Africa (see the similarities between the two?)

@vorgon303 That's about it. Except the corruption of the increasingly Leftist, racist policies in Gary had much to do with it - a fact that the narrator, for some reason, has seen fit to carefully ignore. Also ignored is how the "Black Washington DC" had prosperous black people in the 1970s, but is filled with poverty-stricken, jobless blacks in 2010. And of course Michael Jackson is mocked for leaving - without noting that "white flight" apparently involved plenty of black people too.

is this documentary claiming that, specifically, the City Methodist Church refused to allow blacks? I'm curious to know the source/proof of that claim. Can you cite?

and then again--as "fair" as we try to be, the stats are striking: when Hatcher took office and the majority of population became black, up rose the crime. So, they got what they wanted, but they let it go to shambles.
blah blah blah.. it's all the white mans fault...where is my gubmint to take care of me/

When the narrator says "it was becoming the blackest city in america", the music changes quite a bit to a almost sinister tone. Why is this?

Thanks for watching. The whole film is an experiment to make you ask that very question. Whites have blamed blacks for Gary's demise, and now it's time to address those issues and see things from both perspectives: Did the city crumble because of the blacks, or the white's unwillingness to integrate? The film isn't perfect, but I tried to tie it all together in part 3.
