this trailer is terrible! if you don't already know and you've never seen it, this movie is a masterpiece! go see it! mr. polanski's last film here before, um, he had to make a quick exit....

This trailer was terrible. Chinatown is one of my favorite movies, but this trailer would not make me want to see it. The trailer gives me the impression that the movie is going to be one of the most sloppily constructed movies ever, which is the opposite of the case.

I agree it's a bad trailer, but could you really explain this movie in a brief trailer?

Many trailers don't explain the movie. The goal is just to entice people enough to want to see. However, this doesn't do that. The background music they used (not the same as that in the film) is horrible and undermines the weight of the film. And some of the edits are horrible!

That's actually the sign of a good trailer. Get a gist of a movie.
