  • Do you know what it means when Mike Austin says the people are turning their hip behind their navel in a negative position?

  • @charlespiette - he means they're not "posting" onto the right or supporting leg on the back swing. With the proper pivot, the navel swivels into the hip. With the improper pivot, the hip joint actually moves back and behind the centre or navel, leaving the weight where it is instead of creating the shift. That's the best I can come to explaining it.

  • nice response, you got to imagine yourself with your weight too much behind, to where you don't have enough power to bring that weight back forward against the right leg. idk its hard to excute the movement in balance and it's hard to explain how to do it. tempo in the weight shift is everything
