24 March 2009 - Large groups of sharks were spotted along the Gold Coast, in Queensland, Australia, hunting big schools of bait fish off some of the country's most popular surf beaches.

A few beaches were closed once the sharks began moving closer to shore. Even lifeguards were on the look out for dark clouds of bait fish moving along the coastline.

One lifeguard accounts seeing a group of sharks moving along the north end as they followed a large school of bait fish. They were also being followed by helicopter crews.

Despite these conditions, two surfers were braving the conditions and were spotted surfing near a school of bait fish.

  • @Aussie69r they are brainless fish. it's like saying your ants deserve your garden more than you do.

  • Let's go surfing lathered in chum bait

  • lets all go swim with the little fishes!

By the way there is so much money in shark businnes - that killing them is more money then making a movie.

  • @ellieheartsutubeland my shit would scare them away

  • uh oh they are getting hungry, better advertise some cheap backpacker holidays again.

  • Oh my GOD! There are sharks :D And I wanna go swim there too ^^

  • @zzztubazzz What is stupid; is your comment. Type correctly or GTFO.

  • @g0bliin they're not.

look at the angle of the tail fin.

it's vertical which dolphin tail fins isn't

sharks have vertical tail fins and they're the only fish of that size in those waters.
